This Queen Anne style house was built around 1910. Needing lumber, the builder bought a billboard with circus advertising. He did not bother to clean the boards and the advertising was still visible in the attic in the 1990s. Mayner was part owner of the Palmer-Myers Dry Goods Store. Former owner Elisabeth Moore sold the home to Ashland University. The university uses the home for student housing and has placed a sign with a different name for the house outside the home for some donors to Ashland University.
