Important Meeting Of the Center Street Historic District Association
Wednesday, July 5, 2006 7:00 at the home of Rodney and Ann Mohr 513 Center Street
As many of you are aware, the Ashland County Historical Society have recently submitted an application to the Ashland Historic Preservation Board to demolish the circa 1900 A.N. Myers home at 408 Center Street.
The purpose of this meeting will be to: - Review the ACHS actions and the proposal presented to the Ashland Historic Preservation Board. - Revisit City Ordinance 51-05 and discuss how our group can take part in the upcoming public meeting of the Ashland Historic Preservation Board. - Formulate an official, written statement from our group to the ACHS. - Discuss how the Historic District Association can help create a plan to assure the house’s continued preservation. Discuss strategies for promoting public awareness of the Historical Society’s intentions. Please plan on attending - it is crucial to the preservation of our historic street!
