It is interesting that Tina Carpenter said that renovation would be beyond the Ashland County Historical Society’s financial means. Betty Plank states in her letter to the editor that the society was given several
Jay Myers wrote in his letter to the editor that he only had a verbal conversation with Carpenter and said to have a budget that was far under $1 million.
Barb Queer was on the Board of Trustees and is currently back on the board. Why would the Ashland County Historical Society want a member of the Historic Preservation Board who is on their side to resign?
The Historical Society should visit Marietta to see Nationally Registered buildings that have had fires and flooded. Some of these buildings had to be totally gutted. Using Federal funds and tax credits, these buildings have been restored/renovated.
