Center Street Historic District Association
Meeting Minutes for April 10, 2008
The second quarter meeting of 2008 was held at Ruth Detrow’s home at 421 Center Street. Instead of a meeting the Center Street Historic District Association honored Betty Hood Plank and Alta Sims for their research and work which led to the creation of Ashland’s only historic district. Both women received plaques designating them as honorary members of the Association. Mayor Glenn Stewart made a proclamation claiming April 10, 2008 as Betty Plank and Alta Sims Day. The official reports were suspended to allow time for socializing.
Next meeting will be July 10, 2008 at the Green’s home on Broad Street.
